Why Afghan-owned businesses choose Ariana Nexus
Most web agencies can build a website. Very few can build an Afghan business a website that reads naturally in Pashto and Dari, meets U.S. and European rules, puts AI in front of your customers safely, and leaves you owning every key. We are a consulting firm built to do all four, with one team.
- 01
Engineering, language and compliance under one roof
Engineers, native Pashto and Dari linguists and the Cultural Compliance Bureau work as one team. Nothing is resold to a freelancer marketplace or an offshore agency. - 02
Pashto and Dari built in, not added later
Right-to-left layouts, Afghan typography, Solar Hijri dates and native-written words, checked against 12 tests before any screen goes live. - 03
You own everything
Every account, login, line of code and customer record is registered to your business, with a vault and an ownership dossier to prove it. - 04
Security and compliance from the first sprint
Privacy, accessibility, payment and AI rules are designed in and documented — not patched in after a complaint or a lawsuit. - 05
AI that understands your customers
We evaluate AI models in Afghan languages for AI developers. The same native evaluators test your assistant before a single customer talks to it. - 06
Scholars and engineers, not freelancers
A firm led by alumni and scholars of Cornell University, the University of Chicago, the University of British Columbia and other leading universities, who come from the Afghan community. - 07
Built for the next ten years
AI search, agent-ready commerce, passkeys and accessible design, documented so any future team can run what we build. - 08
One point of accountability
A named partner answers for your project from the first meeting to every monthly report.
Three ways to get a website — compared honestly
If a simple one-page site is all your business needs, a builder template may be enough, and we will tell you so. When the business is growing, the differences below decide what you end up owning.
We are the only firm with this combination of team, compliance, coverage, community network, scholars and lived experience in the Afghan context.
Your vault: logins, access and ownership
The most common way a small business loses its website is simple: the developer who built it registered the accounts in their own name. We do the opposite. You own every key, and we hold only the access you grant.

The Ariana Nexus Pashto and Dari Product Standard
There is no published standard for building software in Pashto and Dari, so we wrote ours. Every screen we ship passes these 12 checks before launch.
- 01
Mirrored layout
Navigation, arrows, progress bars and carousels flip for right-to-left reading. - ټ ډ ړ ږ ښ ګ ڼ ې ۍ ځ څ02
Every Pashto letter renders
The brand font covers all Pashto letters, so customers never see empty boxes. - ی ي ې ۍ ئ03
Pashto spelling kept intact
Pashto’s five forms of ye stay distinct and are never “corrected” into Dari spelling. - کسبوکار04
Dari spacing preserved
The zero-width non-joiner stays in place, so compound words display correctly. - ۰ ۱ ۲ ۳ ۴ ۵ ۶ ۷ ۸ ۹05
The right numerals
Eastern Arabic-Indic digits where customers expect them; Western digits where systems need them. - حمل · ثور · جوزا06
Afghan calendar, Afghan month names
Gregorian dates beside the Solar Hijri calendar, with Pashto month names (Wray, Ghwayay, Ghbargolay) and Dari month names (Hamal, Sawr, Jawza), not Iranian ones. - ستاسو د فرمایش شمېره AN‑2026‑0417 ده07
Mixed text stays in order
Phone numbers, prices, order IDs and English brand names never scramble inside a Pashto or Dari sentence. - كباب = کباب08
Search that finds what customers type
Arabic and Persian letter variants match each other without breaking Pashto spelling. - احمد ولی · Ahmad Wali09
Names in two scripts
Customer names are stored in Pashto or Dari script and in Latin letters, so payments, shipping and receipts match. - 10
Text messages that fit
SMS written for Unicode limits — 70 characters per message in Pashto and Dari, not 160 — so alerts do not split or cost double. - 11
AI tested by native speakers
Every assistant is evaluated across dialects before launch, says it is an AI, and hands off to a person. - 12
Words written, not machine-translated
Interface text and content are written by native linguists and reviewed by the Cultural Compliance Bureau.
No national U.S. certification exists for Pashto or Dari — so we set the standard
There is no national U.S. credential for Pashto or Dari translators, interpreters or interface writers. Ariana Nexus fills that gap: we train our own interpreters and linguists, and other interpreters in Afghan languages, and everyone who writes your interface or tests your AI assistant is trained and assessed against this standard.
Assistants are tested across Pashto varieties — southern (Kandahari), northern (Yusufzai), eastern (Nangarhari) and central — and across the Dari dialects, including Kabuli, Herati, Badakhshani and Hazaragi.
Dari is the Afghan variety of Persian, which many customers call Farsi; we write it the way Afghans read it.
Security and compliance, built in and documented
Your website and app hold your customers’ names, addresses, orders and sometimes their payments or health information. We build to the rules where you operate and hand you the records that prove it.

Questions owners ask about website, app and AI development
What does Ariana Nexus build for Afghan-owned businesses?
We design, build and run websites, e-commerce stores, iOS and Android apps, AI assistants and the systems behind them: payments, bookings, CRM, accounting and analytics. Every build can serve customers in English, Pashto and Dari, and content is available in all 24 Afghan languages and 13 international languages.
Can you build my website in Pashto and Dari as well as English?
Yes. Pashto and Dari are built in from the first design, not added later. Layouts mirror for right-to-left reading, fonts cover every Pashto letter, dates can show the Afghan Solar Hijri calendar, and the words are written by native Pashto and Dari linguists rather than machine-translated. Dari is the Afghan variety of Persian, which many customers call Farsi.
Will I own my website, app, domain and code?
Yes. Every account, including the domain, hosting, code repository, app store listings, payment processor, Google Business Profile and AI keys, is registered to your business. Logins live in a password vault your business owns, and at handover you receive an ownership dossier listing every asset and how to recover it.
How much does a website or app cost?
We scope every engagement after a discovery meeting, because a five-page website, an online ordering app and an AI assistant are different builds. If a simple template is all your business needs, we will tell you so. When you work with us, the proposal states the scope, timeline, ownership terms and ongoing costs in writing before any work begins.
How long does it take to build a website or an app?
A business website typically takes 6 to 10 weeks, a mobile app 12 to 20 weeks, and an AI assistant 4 to 8 weeks. Larger platforms are delivered in phases over several months. You see working progress every two weeks.
Can you add an AI chatbot that speaks Pashto and Dari?
Yes. We build AI assistants for websites and WhatsApp that answer questions, take orders and book appointments in Pashto, Dari and English. Pashto is still a low-resource language for AI, so every assistant is tested by native speakers across dialects before launch, tells customers it is an AI, and hands the conversation to a person when needed.
Is my customers' data safe, and which laws do you follow?
We build to the privacy and security rules where you operate: the 20 U.S. state privacy laws including California's, GDPR and UK GDPR in Europe, PIPEDA and Quebec's Law 25 in Canada, and Australia's Privacy Act. Card payments run through PCI DSS-validated processors, health information is handled under a HIPAA business associate agreement, and every admin login uses multi-factor authentication.
Will my website be ADA-compliant and accessible?
We design and test to WCAG 2.2 Level AA, the standard referenced for the ADA in the United States and the European Accessibility Act in Europe. We test with screen readers and keyboards in English, Pashto and Dari, and we do not rely on accessibility overlay plug-ins.
Can you take over a website a freelancer built, or recover access we lost?
Yes. We recover access to domains, hosting and accounts through each provider's own ownership-verification process, move everything into your company's name, secure it and document it. Then we fix, rebuild or run the site, whichever makes sense for your business.
Do you work with businesses outside the United States?
Yes. We are active in all 50 U.S. states and work with businesses in Canada, Europe and Australia, depending on the type and scale of the project. For European clients we build to GDPR, the European Accessibility Act and local requirements such as Germany's Impressum.
Which platforms and technologies do you use?
We choose the platform that fits the business: Webflow, Shopify, WordPress or a custom React and Next.js build for websites; native Swift and Kotlin or cross-platform frameworks for apps; and leading AI models, deployed privately when your data requires it. You are never locked into a platform only we can maintain.
Will my business show up on Google and in AI answers like ChatGPT?
We build for search from the first page: fast load times, structured data, Google Business Profile, multilingual pages and clear answers that AI search tools can cite. No honest firm can guarantee rankings, but we report what changes every month.
Can I meet the team in person?
Yes. Owners and founders can meet us at our office at 1717 Pennsylvania Avenue NW, Washington, D.C., or by video, in English, Pashto or Dari. Book a time through our Contact page.
Do you only work with Afghan-owned businesses?
No. This service is built for Afghan-owned businesses, and we also build for any company that wants to serve Pashto- and Dari-speaking customers well.
Who will actually do the work?
Our own team: engineers, designers, AI specialists, native Pashto and Dari linguists and Cultural Compliance Bureau reviewers. We do not resell work to freelancer marketplaces or offshore agencies, and one partner is accountable for your project.
Is there a certification for Pashto and Dari translators or interpreters in the United States?
No. There is no national U.S. certification for Pashto or Dari translators or interpreters. Ariana Nexus sets the standard itself: every screen passes the 12 checks of the Ariana Nexus Pashto and Dari Product Standard, and we train our own interpreters and linguists, and other interpreters in Afghan languages. Everyone who writes your interface or tests your AI assistant is trained and assessed against that standard.
